The Washingtonville Central School District is seeking an innovative and experienced Assistant Superintendent for Business who is able to establish a strategic financial direction and provide leadership in the business affairs of the District. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to provide excellent leadership in all areas of the district’s fiscal operations including budget development, accounting and auditing services, payroll,
capital projects, purchasing, accounts payable, collective bargaining, personnel & office management, food service, transportation and insurance and risk management.

Job Description The Assistant Superintendent for Business, under the direct supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, will demonstrate:

• Strong leadership skills in a highly visible position interacting with the Board of Education and multiple parent committees
• Expertise in fiscal planning and execution
• Proficiency in the development and management of annual school budgets
• Proven ability to create, implement and enforce processes related to staffing and budget management
•  Skilled oversight of capital projects and renovations
• Experience with labor relations and contract negotiations
• RFP and vendor contract management experience
• Experience in managing payroll, transportation, facilities, and food services
•  Knowledge and experience with employee benefits programs
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Work in partnership with the leadership team to ensure equitable experiences and promoting a culture of inclusivity that embraces the contributions of all team members

Qualifications:

•  Master’s Degree
•  Minimum of 5 years of experience as a School Business Official or other related   experience
•  New York State SBA or SDBL certification
