The Richfield Springs Central School District Board of Education invites applications from highly qualified, experienced educational leaders for the position of superintendent of schools. The board seeks a visionary, collaborative leader who is committed to academic excellence, fiscal responsibility and strong community engagement. The successful candidate will assume the position effective July 1, 2026.
Demonstrated skills as an exceptional educational leader; successful experience as a superintendent is preferred, but not required.
A record of leading schools that achieve high academic performance, foster community engagement, inspire highly motivated staff and offer diverse student programs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex educational and fiscal matters to varied audiences.
Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of school operations including budget development, contract negotiation, capital projects, transportation, facilities and human resources.
A commitment to working with a dedicated Board of Education through ethical, professional conduct, transparent communication and constructive feedback.
An understanding of the unique challenges faced by a high-need rural community.
Active involvement in the community, regularly participating in school and community events and activities.
