The Richfield Springs Central School District Board of Education invites applications from highly qualified, experienced educational leaders for the position of superintendent of schools. The board seeks a visionary, collaborative leader who is committed to academic excellence, fiscal responsibility and strong community engagement. The successful candidate will assume the position effective July 1, 2026.

• Demonstrated skills as an exceptional educational leader; successful experience as a superintendent is preferred, but not required.
• A record of leading schools that achieve high academic performance, foster community engagement, inspire highly motivated staff and offer diverse student programs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex educational and fiscal matters to varied audiences.
• Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of school operations including budget development, contract negotiation, capital projects, transportation, facilities and human resources.
• A commitment to working with a dedicated Board of Education through ethical, professional conduct, transparent communication and constructive feedback.
• An understanding of the unique challenges faced by a high-need rural community.
• Active involvement in the community, regularly participating in school and community events and activities.
