The Perkiomen Valley School District seeks a dynamic, collaborative, relationship-oriented individual with integrity, visionary leadership, superior communication skills, and outstanding, transparent administrative ability to lead a diverse district of approximately 4,600 students. The desired candidate must possess experience in fostering high academic performance, advancing academic equity, understanding school finance and business management, and have a student-first mindset. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at collaborating with all stakeholders while demonstrating success in community engagement and involvement. The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is coordinating the search process.
Perkiomen Valley School District is located about 32 miles northwest of Philadelphia in the western part of Montgomery County. The district has a population of about 39,000 and serves approximately 4,600 students across six neighboring communities, including the boroughs of Collegeville, Trappe, and Schwenksville, as well as the townships of Lower Frederick, Perkiomen, and Skippack. The Perkiomen Valley School District is recognized as one of the premier school districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with a strong tradition of academic rigor and excellence, enriching co-curricular and extra-curricular offerings, and a dedicated social emotional learning program. In 2025, Perkiomen Valley High School was ranked among the top 8% of high schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. PVHS ranked 1,428 out of nearly 18,000 high schools nationwide, 41st in Pennsylvania, and 32nd among Philadelphia, PA Metro Area High Schools.
The Perkiomen Valley School District is offering a regionally competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must possess or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility. A Master's Degree is required; a doctorate is strongly preferred.
