Salary Details:
The Board of Education plans to offer a salary between $160,000 and $185,000 and a comprehensive benefits package commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be offered a three-year contact with an annual performance review.
The Onondaga Central School District Board of Education seeks an exceptional leader as its next Superintendent of Schools.
The district is located just south of Syracuse in Upstate New York, situated in a picturesque valley that covers suburban, urban and rural landscapes. Its unique location blends the tranquility of upstate rural life with easy access to the cultural and economic vitality of the Syracuse metropolitan area. The school community is also enriched by its neighbors in the Onondaga Nation, adding to the region’s deep historical and cultural heritage.
Nine Advanced Placement courses offer access to challenging college-level materials for all students, 16 dual-enrollment courses with partnering institutions allow students to earn college credits in high school, and access to 23 Career & Technical Education courses for students in grades 11-12 provides hands-on experience and industry-recognized certifications. The district prides itself on its award-winning visual and performing arts programs, offering comprehensive opportunities in 2D, 3D, and media arts, music with district-provided instruments for elementary students, and Tiger TV, the student-led daily broadcast. The district also offers a strong athletics program that fosters teamwork, school pride and well-rounded student development.
