Salary Details:
The Board of Education plans to offer a salary in the range of $160,000 - $180,000 based on qualifications with a competitive benefits package. The successful candidate will be offered a three-year contract with an annual performance review.
The Tully Central School District Board of Education seeks a visionary Superintendent of Schools to lead their high-achieving district. The district offers diverse programs to approximately 734 students across two academic buildings, excellent academic and extracurricular opportunities, and strong fiscal practices that support a high-quality education for all students. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, management and communication skills that are effective for a small, economically diverse area.
The Tully School District takes pride on being one of the last remaining community school districts in New York State. The district boasts numerous unique attributes and accomplishments that distinguish it from other districts in the region. Some of the highlights include extensive participation in extra and co-curricular activities; significant participation in a number of Onondaga Community College and Tompkins Cortland Community college credit-bearing classes and Advanced Placement classes, a comprehensive preschool program; a Maker Lab, intramurals, and others.
Qualities of the successful candidate will include the following, among others:
Experience as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, principal or in a comparable central office position;
Experience in curriculum, instruction and personnel;
Ability to manage the school district’s fiscal resources;
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with parents and community member
