The Goshen Central School Board is looking for a dynamic leader who is willing to make a commitment as interim superintendent of schools to the Goshen Central Public Schools and the nearly 3,000 students in the school system.

The Goshen Central School District is in the center of Orange County, New York, approximately 60 miles northwest of New York City. The school community is approximately 50 square miles in area and has a population of at least 23,000.

The school system has a long record of excellence and has a community that is dedicated and supportive of its schools.

Qualifications: Successful experience as a superintendent strongly preferred; senior-level central office and building-­level leadership experience as well as K-12 teaching/pupil services experience are required. A strong, visible presence in the schools and community is desired during this transitional period. Appropriate NYS certification is required.

Compensation will be on a per diem basis, competitive for the region, and based on the experience of the candidate.

Anticipated employment is July 1, 2025 through December 30, 2025.

The Goshen Central School District was established in 1937. The buildings and athletic facilities are well-maintained and serve as community centers, meeting many of the recreational needs of all age groups within the school district. Students are enrolled in four buildings organized by grade levels to provide the most effective staffing and physical space for our enriching programs. The schools are almost within sight of each other on spacious grounds in the northeast corner of the Village of Goshen.
