The Assistant Superintendent will join a visionary leadership team to support a strong administration, an outstanding faculty and a supportive school community. Hold valid NYS School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification
Knowledge of New York State standards and best instructional practice
Previous experience as a principal and/or similar district-level administrative position
Ability to lead professional development through a variety of strategies
Experience in using data for informing and enhancing teaching and learning
Extensive experience in curriculum development (Understanding by Design) and assessment creation
Experience with and knowledge of contract negotiations and administration
Knowledge of Human Resource related legal requirements and recruitment and hiring practices
A people person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who knows how to bring diverse interests to common understandings
Earned Doctorate (preferred) from recognized university
