The Geneseo Central School District, located in the scenic and vibrant village of Geneseo, NY, is seeking an experienced and dynamic educational leader to serve as our next Superintendent of Schools. The Board of Education is prepared to offer a salary in the range of $167,500-197,500. While residency is not required, proximity to the district and visibility within the district are expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership to ensure that the district maintains a high standard of academic excellence and innovation.
- Lead, inspire, and support staff and students, building a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration.
- Serve as the chief instructional leader, ensuring that curriculum, teaching, and learning meet the needs of all students and align with district goals.
- Foster strong relationships with parents, the community, the school board, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote safety, inclusivity, and academic achievement.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives and make data-driven decisions to advance the district’s goals.
- Manage the district budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support student success.
- Uphold high ethical standards, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of leadership.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in a leadership role within K-12 education.
- Strong instructional leadership skills with a deep understanding of educational best practices.
- Ability to build, grow, mentor, and lead a team.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage staff while promoting high standards of achievement.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in managing budgets, resources, and district-wide initiatives.
- Ability to inspire and connect with students, staff, parents, and the community.
- Certification as a School District Leader or equivalent qualifications.
