The Homer Central School District Board of Education seeks an experienced and passionate leader who will support the community's longstanding commitment to educational excellence. The Board of Education has asked the OCM BOCES District Superintendent, Matthew L. Cook, Ed.D., to assist and advise the Board in the selection process.
Homer is a beautiful, quaint, historically rich region in the heart of Central New York. The Homer Central School District covers over 175 square miles and is geographically one of the largest in New York State. The district has an enrollment of approximately 1,867 students and employs 405 dedicated staff members, across four school buildings. The district's leadership and educators are committed to fostering a supportive learning environment that empowers students to become responsible, productive citizens, and the district is fortunate to have a highly supportive community that values and invests in the educational experience of students.

Experience as a superintendent or in a central office position is strongly preferred. Residency in the district is encouraged, but not required.
