The Lake Shore (Evans-Brant) Central School District Board of Education is seeking a new superintendent of schools due to the pending retirement of its current superintendent. The district is seeking a committed, dynamic leader who will build upon its accomplishments, while taking it to the next level of excellence. The new superintendent will begin on July 1, 2025.
The district seeks a leader with a passion for serving a diverse population and a commitment to crafting a culture where excellence is not optional while honoring and celebrating the accomplishments of their students and staff. The next leader will possess the wisdom and vision to move the district forward in meeting the needs of students in an ever-changing environment.
The district is prepared to offer a salary in the $175,000-205,000 range, depending on experience and qualifications. Though residency is not required, active engagement in the school community is expected.
The district maintains a strong commitment to equity and excellence in education and the Board of Education desires a diverse pool of candidates. Confidentiality in the process will be maintained up until the final selection.
The Lake Shore Central School District serves approximately 2,100 students in three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The school district is adjacent to the Cattaraugus Territory of the Seneca Nation of Indians and is a New York State Contract District for the education of Native American students. Approximately fifteen percent of the district’s students proudly identify as Native American.
The Lake Shore Central School District is located on the shores of Lake Erie approximately twenty miles south of Buffalo. Covering more than fifty square miles, according to the 2020 census is 16,669. The median household income was $66,704, and 23.3% of the population had a bachelor's degree or higher.
