The New Hartford Central School District is seeking an experienced and passionate Dean of Students who possesses and maintains qualities of leadership, advocacy, and professionalism to set the standard and further the goals of the District.
The New Hartford Central School District, located in the Mohawk Valley, is a high-performing District that consistently meets and exceeds state and national accountability standards. Student performance in ELA and mathematics is consistently rated high or very high using a formula developed by the New York State School Board’s Advisory Solutions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining a positive and productive school climate that focuses on student learning;
Communicating frequently and effectively with students, teachers, and parents;
Assist the Building Principal in the planning of the Master Schedule;
Establish testing and proctoring schedules;
Assume responsibility for the organization and supervision of the Student Activity Program;
Develop and supervise communication to advocate for students in crisis;
Supervising and developing the instructional and school support staff;
Publicizing school activities and events; and
Assist the Building Principal in the supervision and administration of student conduct.

Possess certification as a school building leader or administrator
The New Hartford Central School District is located in the Mohawk Valley of New York state and operates five schools: three elementary schools, a junior high school and a senior high school.
