The members of the Ridgefield Park Board of Education seek an outstanding educational leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools beginning July 1, 2023.
The Village of Ridgefield Park is a diverse community located in Bergen County, New Jersey. Settled in 1685, the residents proudly boast one of the longest continuous Fourth of July parades in the country. Ridgefield Park has a rich history and the residents enjoy many of the advantages of living in a small and close-knit town.
The Ridgefield Park Public School District serves approximately 2200 students in grades Pre-K-12 in four schools. The three elementary schools (PreK-6) and one junior/high school (7-12) serve students from Ridgefield Park and Little Ferry (as part of a send/receive relationship).
The residents of Ridgefield Park are committed to quality education. There is a strong partnership between the schools and the community to help students acquire the skills and knowledge they need to enter the workforce or pursue higher education, and to become responsible global citizens. The mission of the district is to offer students educational opportunities that will foster lifelong learning. The board members are looking for an innovative leader who can motivate and empower the dedicated staff members to provide a continuously improving educational experience for all of the students.
Specific desired leadership characteristics and qualifications are expected to be available and posted on or around March 13, 2023. A multi-year contract will be offered with a salary + bonus in the range of $240,000 subject to actual experience, qualifications and negotiations.
