The Chenango Valley Central School District Board of Education, located in the southern tier of New York State, is seeking a highly qualified educational leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The confidential search process will be conducted over the next several months, with the successful candidate beginning employment on or about July 1, 2023.
The Successful Candidate The Chenango Valley Central School District is seeking an educational leader with a proven record of administrative accomplishments. The board has identified several characteristics that are most desirable in the new superintendent. The candidate should be one who: O Shows a genuine concern for children, as demonstrated by listening, being visible and known to them, and being involved in their education and activities. The Chenango Valley Central School District consists of two elementary school buildings and one middle/high school building. Students in pre-K through grade 2 attend Port Dickinson Elementary, students in grades 3-5 attend Chenango Bridge Elementary, students in grades 6-8 attend the CV Middle School, and students in grades 9-12 attend the CV High School. With approximately 1,650-1,700 students and around
340 employees, the district offers a small-town learning environment emphasizing individualized attention and high expectations.
