The superintendent will serve the varied educational needs of approximately 77,000 students in one of the most diverse (families who speak more than 90 languages and dialects) districts in the nation with a qualified and dedicated staff of 11,000 on 81 campuses.

The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees seeks an individual who has demonstrated the successful leadership in a diverse district necessary to advance this district to its next level of excellence.

It is expected that a regionally competitive compensation package will be offered.  Screening begins in mid-May with the slate presented to the Board in early June.  Dr. Charles Dupre is completing a distinguished tenure of 9 years serving as Superintendent and will work through a transition for the new superintendent who will begin approximately August 1, 2021.
