The Board of Education of the Arlington Central School District (www.arlingtonschools.org) is seeking a proven leader, of unquestioned integrity, with an established record of improving instruction and student outcomes, closing achievement gaps, and supporting equitable opportunities for all students.
Essential Qualifications: Successful experience as a superintendent preferred; senior-level central office and building-level leadership experience as well as Pk-12 teaching/pupil services experience are required. Earned doctorate preferred. Residency preferred; strong, visible presence in the schools and community required. NYS SDA or SDL certification required.
Related Qualifications: Following a review of the online survey results and input from 20 focus groups, the below related qualifications have been identified. The next Superintendent must demonstrate a “track record” with the regard to the following traits, characteristics and skills:

Engaged in and committed to the District, short- and long-term
Engage and committed to a well-rounded program to meet the diverse interests and needs of all students
Effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders

Compensation: A regionally competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.

Finalists: December 17, 5:00-10:00 p.m.
