The Martin County School District, located on Florida’s pristine Treasure Coast, is searching for its first appointed Superintendent. This east coast district is home to beautiful beaches and more than 75 parks, and is located within two hours driving time to four international airports: Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and Orlando. From numerous community events and festivals to shopping, museums and outdoor activities, there is something for everyone in Martin County.
The district serves more than 19,000 students with 2,600 employees in 20 traditional schools, 10 special centers and 3 charter schools. Martin County has earned an “A” grade in the state accountability system for the last 3 years and is classified as “Academically High Performing” by the Florida Department of Education. More than 5,000 volunteers provide more than 175,000 hours of service and mentorship. In 2018, voters approved two district-sponsored tax referendums in support of capital and operational projects.
