The district serves approximately 2,000 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Extensive knowledge of Pre-K–12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment; • Competency in teacher and principal evaluation models; • Responsible for directing the administration of the district's K-12 program of instruction to ensure all students are college and career ready; • Responsible for the development and refinements of rigorous and engaging curriculum across multiple content areas; • Plan and implement professional development aligned with the district's strategic plan; • Demonstrate core knowledge to ensure the effectiveness of the International Baccalaureate Programme; • Ability to identify resources to deliver appropriate instruction and support the learning experiences of the whole child; • Interprets and executes personnel policies and legal requirements for certificated personnel; • Provides staffing, wage and salary data required for budget preparation and negotiations, and prepares salary, health and welfare information; • Assists in the implementation of collective bargaining agreements, Education Law and State and Federal guidelines as related to the board goals and objectives related to curriculum, instruction and personnel; • Position reports directly to the Superintendent; • Minimum of five years administrative/supervisory experience in central office preferred; • Earned doctorate degree preferred • New York State School District Administrator certification required.
