About Lansingburgh Central School District
Nearly 2,300 students attend our four Lansingburgh schools. They include Turnpike Elementary School, serving grades PK-2; Rensselaer Park Elementary School, serving grades 3-5; Knickerbacker Middle School, serving grades 6-8; and Lansingburgh High School, serving grades 9-12.
The personalized nature of our small urban school district offers benefits similar to those seen in larger school districts, including a wide variety of facilities, services and programs, and a supportive environment. However, Lansingburgh also offers a sense of belonging that is often missed in larger school districts.
With approximately 400 professional and support staff, the entire Lansingburgh Central School District community proudly shares in and contributes to student achievement, from the classroom teacher to the office staff member.
The school district is committed to teaching a curriculum that ensures all students meet the state learning standards. The district is currently engaged in a curriculum mapping initiative across all grade levels.
Along with a full range of academic programs and services, each school offers a wide array of arts, athletics and extracurricular activities that challenge students to reach their maximum potential.
