The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi) is currently looking to fill a full-time probationary appointment for a District Data Coordinator. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker who can balance the technical aspects of educational data with the ability to make that data accessible and meaningful to educators.
The successful candidate will:
Coordinate and transmit CiTi BOCES educational data to New York State
Have a working knowledge of the current NYSED reporting requirements
Define internal best practices to ensure data integrity, including creation of data verification protocols
Coordinate and facilitate internal data team meetings, including Response to Intervention
Act as a liaison between CiTi BOCEs and the Level 1 data center
Be responsible for the integrity of alignment with state codes for state and federal reporting
Direct and assist in data analysis activities and instructional technology initiatives
Complete data-driven reports for CiTi BOCES (Civil Rights; BOCES Report Card, etc)
Provide technical assistance for the student information system in district and assist personnel with SIRS as needed
Provide assistance to component districts with data systems as needed.
Provide training and updates regarding ESSA (Every Students Succeeds Act)
Provide assistance with students information systems (School Tool) as needed

Master’s Degree in an educational or data-related field (CAS desired, but not required)
Prior experience with School Information Systems (SIS) and Student Information Repository Systems (SIRS)
Working knowledge of the operations of a school and state reporting requirements is essential
Strong technical skills
Ability to prioritize, manage and meet project deadlines
Experience with planning, designing and maintaining large databases
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to conduct training and informational meetings
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently in solving problems.
