For over 100 years, the Center Moriches School District has been the focal point for generations of residents. The district is made up of Clayton Huey Elementary School, named after former Superintendent Clayton Huey, and Center Moriches Middle School and High School, which share a building. With approximately 1530 students, including Kindergarten through 12th grade students from the Unkechaug Nation, high school students from neighboring East Moriches, as well as special education students from various schools in Suffolk County, Center Moriches has successfully been able to offer a wide array of educational opportunities, while maintaining the individual attention students get from a small school.
