The District’s tradition of excellence has drawn families to our area for many decades. The District is consistently ranked as a top ten school district for academics in the Capital Region by the Albany Business Review and has a graduation rate that has steadily increased to 94% (Class of 2016.) The Saratoga Springs City School District has six elementary schools for grades kindergarten to five, one middle school for grades six to eight, and one high school for grades nine to 12. The district serves students from the city of Saratoga Springs and the Saratoga County towns of Milton, Wilton, Malta, Greenfield and Saratoga.
With the help of about 1,100 faculty, staff and administrators, the school district offers outstanding education programs... to prepare students for the skills needed to succeed in the ever-changing world. Numerous opportunities are available for students in the fields of STEM including a K-12 Project Lead the Way curriculum and Early College High School programs in Advanced Manufacturing and Computer Networking. Saratoga students also have access to top-notch technology offerings including iPads, tablets, Smartboards and online educational resources.
In order for all students to be successful, early intervention and prevention programs are available to help the youngest students achieve academic success, with a goal of all students having literacy and numeracy fluency before entering the middle school. The District has also continually expanded the social/emotional network to support the needs of our students including social workers, school-based clinics and Project Lift in all elementary schools.
In addition to an outstanding academic experience, the Saratoga Springs City School District has a reputation for having a supportive community. Partnerships and ongoing support from our community allows students to gain real-world knowledge and hands-on experience. Read more about the Saratoga Springs community.
