Primary responsibilities of the Executive Director include the long-range strategic planning and general management of CASDA and its membership, programs, personnel and financial resources. This includes the development of current and long-range organizational goals as well as policies and procedures for operations. The Executive Director serves as an agent of the CASDA Executive Committee working in compliance with all CASDA policies and procedures, guidelines and federal and state regulations as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.
The Executive Director represents CASDA in fostering communications and professional working relationships with the University at Albany, school districts, BOCES, other educational agencies and/or organizations in alignment with the CASDA mission, vision and beliefs.
The Executive Director is primarily responsible for the development, coordination and oversight of CASDA professional development opportunities, such as, conferences, workshops, roundtables, webinars or other educational programs. In addition, this position works closely with CASDA staff and faculty members to develop and coordinate programs and services to meet the critical needs and requests of CASDA’s member districts and other external customers.
The Executive Director provides leadership in developing organizational and financial plans with the approval of the CASDA Executive Committee. This includes oversight for all issues related to educational services, business operations, and human resources working in collaboration with the staff to create an effective management team.
Preferred Experience: 10 years of more of School and/or University Admistration

The CASDA Executive Committee will offer a three-year contract. Salary will be based on experience and negotiation with the Executive Committee. Residency in the Capital Region is preferred.
